Near Parcel is a service ideal for online stores and other companies sending parcels to consumers.
|Delivery time||The parcel is delivered to the Parcel Pick-up Point nearest to the consignee’s (recipient’s) address or chosen by the consignor (sender) within 1-3 workdays.|
|Dispatch and pick-up point||Dispatch: Matkahuolto terminal, Matkahuolto agent. Pick-up: K-Market, R-Kiosk or Matkahuolto’s other Pick-up Point. Search for service points|
|Maximum weight||30 kg|
|Maximum dimensions||The maximum volume of a parcel (length x width x height) is 0.5 m3. Maximum length of side 200 cm|
|Maximum number of parcels in single consignment||A single consignment may contain a maximum of five parcels from the same consignor to the same consignee.|
|Extra services||Extra services available for the parcel are Cash-on-Delivery and Supplementary Insurance Cover Extra insurance|
|Track & Trace||You can monitor the progress of your consignment online using the consignment number. Go to Track & Trace|
|Arrival notification||Matkahuolto will notify the consignee by a text message when the parcel can be picked up.|
|Picking up||Parcels are collected at the service point indicated in the arrival notification. Parcels are handed over on presentation of an ID. Acceptable IDs are a driving license, passport and identity card issued by the police. If the parcel is picked up by somebody other than the consignee indicated in the address card, the person collecting the parcel must have a written authorisation to collect it in addition to an acceptable ID. Parcels are held at the pick-up point for 14 days after which any uncollected parcels will be returned to the dispatching Matkahuolto terminal at the consignor’s expense.
|Limitations||The parcel may not contain any fragile items, dangerous goods, live animals, firearms, perishable products or any content in contravention of the General Conditions of Carriage.|
