Matkahuolto’s eBus Ticket is a bus ticket that can be purchased and printed on the website. You can purchase an eBus Ticket for departures indicated by the shopping cart symbol in the timetable. The eBus Ticket options are single and return for adults, children, and various groups entitled to discounts. An eBus Ticket must be purchased by 13:00 on the day before the departure except Sundays.

To buy an eBus Ticket, you need a printer. Use Acrobat Reader to display the ticket and print it for presentation to onboard personnel. Alternatively, you can send the eBus to your own e-mail address to be printed later. If printing fails, please contact Matkahuolto’s customer service at 0200 4000 (€ 1.50 per call + local network charge). If you do not have access to a printer, you can buy the ticket at any Matkahuolto outlet, agent and travel agency, or book the ticket in advance by phone at Matkahuolto’s customer service number and claim it from any R kiosk in Finland.

The eBus Ticket is valid only for the route and on the date indicated in the ticket. An eBus Ticket printed from the online shop is valid when presented together with an ID, passport or driving license. If several people are travelling on the same eBus Ticket, at least one of the persons indicated on the ticket must be able to prove his or her identity. On trips to and from Russia, the details of all passengers must be provided and all of them have to prove their identity by presenting a valid passport. Responsibility for acquiring any visa and related cost will rest the passenger.

If you purchase a discount ticket, you have to prove that you are entitled to the discount. The card showing that you are eligible for the discount must be presented when boarding the bus. If you are unable to present the required discount card when boarding the bus, the bus operator is not obligated to admit you without a surcharge.

Any seat reservation selected at the time of purchase is confirmed when the eBus Ticket is paid for. If the bus operator is required to use another vehicle because of a technical problem or the need for additional vehicles, you are entitled to an equivalent seat in any replacement vehicle.

A purchase made in Matkahuolto’s online shop becomes binding when the fare is paid. After making the payment you will return to Matkahuolto’s website to print the eBus Ticket. The purchases can be paid for through the Nordea, Sampo, Osuuspankki, Aktia, Säästöpankki, Paikallisosuuspankki, Ålandsbanken and Tapiola online banks as well as using Visa, Eurocard or Mastercard.
