The value of unused paper bus tickets purchased from Matkahuolto is refundable. When the value of a partially used return ticket is refunded, any discount granted is deducted from the amount of refund. No refund is made for seat reservations.

Any claim for a refund must be made within one (1) month of the date of expiry of the ticket.

 

Each refund is subject to a charge of € 5.

Refunding the value of unused annual-ticket trips loaded on the travel card

 

When a refund is made for the unused value of annual tickets, the fare for each trip is calculated at the standard rate without any discount. The sum total of all used trips is deducted from the total price paid for the ticket.Any difference will be refunded to the customer.

Any claim for a refund must be made within one (1) month of the date of expiry of the ticket product. After that, the customer is not entitled to any refund for the unused value of the annual ticket.However, if the card has been recharged in midway through its period of validity, any remaining trips will be good beyond the original date of expiry of the card.The period of validity of the annual ticket is shown on the sales receipt.The period of validity of ticket products can also be checked at Matkahuolto service outlets, agencies and on busses.

Any refund for the unused value of ticket products stored on the card is subject to a € 5 charge.

Please handle the card with care and keep it preferably in a separate folder. Make sure that it is not soiled, scratched or bent. Matkahuolto accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of loss or careless handling of the card.
