Services and prices

Matkahuolto’s Parcel Services deliver consignments quickly and safely at an affordable cost.
Matkahuolto uses a nationwide transportation system based on a scheduled bus route network,
supplementing it with a pick-up and delivery system and, if so required, with other means of
transportation as well.
The transportation system combines all of the service outlets into a cohesive service chain,
which means that consignments may reach their destination within a couple of hours. The
Pick-up/Delivery Service can be used with all parcel shipments.
Matkahuolto’s parcel service network includes nearly 1,200 pick-up points.
Matkahuolto’s service network

Methods of payment
Cash, Finnish bankcards and the most common credit cards are accepted as payment for Parcel
Service products at Matkahuolto’s own customer service outlets.
Hand-over of incoming parcel
Matkahuolto is a transport company and when it accepts a consignment (parcel) for carriage it
makes a contract with the consignor (sender). This contract means that the consignment is only
handed over to the person or company indicated in the shipping document or a person authorized by
the consignee (recipient).
Under the Road Transport Agreements Act, Matkahuolto is responsible for the consignment,
meaning that it must, if necessary, be able to prove to whom the consignment has been handed over.
This is why the identity of the person claiming the parcel is checked. If the person claiming the
parcel is other than the recipient indicated in the shipping document, the authorization will be
checked.
