The consignor is responsible for
ensuring that the contents are packed to withstand normal handling and not to cause any damage to
any person or other goods being carried
Consignments pass through several handling stages, and for this reason they should be
able to withstand normal shipping conditions such as pulling, shoving, being squeezed and
having other things piled on top of them.
